Mount and Blade: Warband

Ahoy all :p

As a lot of us know, BFP2 is essentially dead exept for a core of old players, who turn up to a lot of events. You might ask why, and Ill tell you, there are not enough players to cover all the mods on BF2 anymore. FH2 and the others are suffering player loss as well, as BF2 is now quite old. What we should do is be considering alternative games with a large player base who are modders and are willing to download and play mods.

One such game is Mount & Blade: Warband. It has numerous tutorials on how to start modding, it has a large friendly playerbase who are willing to download mods, and most essentially it is easy to modify, using playermade mod tools. It is ideal for a pirates mod because of the relatively advanced melee combat system, and the nice ranged system.

I have started a Pirates! mod on it, and I was hoping some of you might join it or at least come and play it when it is done. Lastly I was hoping to use some of your voiceovers and music for it, all credited of course.

whats the multiplayer like , big player base?, btw bf2 is still popular with over 1200 servers still up , it will never die

@Anddos: The playerbase is quite big... I don't know any figures... Mount and blade has a kind of cult following I guess, as it is a game made by a small dev team which was insanely popular for the amount of people involved...
