Ahoy clansmen!
Each of the pirate clans here is welcomed to submit to me a flag banner graphic that can be hung on the houses seen on Storm the Bastion (for example - other maps too).
Note that the flag hangs down vertically from a post, and is split near the bottom so dont extend any text too far near the edges or it might be unreadable. All you need to do is create the artwork in a 256 x 512 image and host it online somewhere - then send me the link by PM.
I will reduce in size to 128x256, then combine all the flags onto a single texture sheet and worry about getting them skinned to the flags. Here's the two we use already for an example.
For all you other budding Photoshop artists, Im also looking for a few more shop signs, posters, guild flags and other bits to spruce up the maps with. Again, all I need is the artwork (unless you really want to model up something nice to go with it).
Only two rules:
1) The image dimensions have to be powers of 2 in length and width (but not necessarily the same/square). Examples: 256x256, 128x256, 64x512, etc.
2) Overtly suggestive material is definitely funny and allowable, but straight out porn will be kept for my private collection - sorry. I dont have much of a tolerance for racist, hateful or otherwise over-the-line material either. So try to be clever about it, eh? BTW... +5 pts for signs that rhyme.
And before you all ask me, no... Im all out of texture space for making new tombstones poems. Sorry mates! _________________

Its best not to tatter the edges in the artwork because not sure how it will wind up on the model, esp when the backside of the flag is also done. I think the BR image is just fine - looks hand painted - but the LP graphic is a bit modern. No worries, wasnt any rule against it. _________________

Aye the tatter needs to match the alpha layer, best to provide clean images then the alpha layer can be superimposed and various blend layers applied to make it look just lovely. _________________

As soon as I get back to my PC tomorrow I'll get one out for CT - might even get the chance to play with the alpha channel a bit and make it nice and tattered. Thanks for doing this, hawk! _________________
